Since 1865, the Montana Historical Society has been here to preserve the Treasure State’s story—good and bad—and share that story with its citizens. Located across from the capitol, the Montana Historical Society Museum is home to four galleries that display treasures that bring the past to life! The entrance fee is $5 for adults, $1 for children and $12 for families. Admission is free to MHS members and to the general public on the second Saturday of the month. Tours are temporarily suspended at the Original Governor’s Mansion due to the coronavirus pandemic.
