A trip to Helena, Montana is not complete without taking in some great art. Helena was named one of the best small art towns in America and a trip to the Holter Museum of Art will confirm that the title was well-deserved.
Embracing the belief that art vitalizes and strengthens community, the Holter Museum of Art seeks to stimulate creativity, curiosity, and collaboration through the visual arts. The Museum’s mission is not just exhibiting art—they strive to interpret it, teach it, help create it, preserve it, and build community through it. The Holter captures the imagination of both the young and the grown through exciting exhibitions and powerful art education.
The Holter gallery tours are free—if your group wants to do an art making activity with their tour there is a charge of $3/person. Ideal group size is 15, but we can accommodate up to 25 for a gallery tour, 15-20 for a tour that includes a hands-on activity. The classroom accommodates 20 adults. Groups larger will be split into smaller groups.

Two weeks notice on tours would be appreciated. Larger groups requiring more guides should be sure to give adequate notice.
