My typical blog content always is based on information that a visitor will find important to know about Helena. Hikes with the kids, art galleries and off-the-beaten path explorations are some of the topics I’ve explored. And, though I hope that Helena residents find the information I provide useful, it’s not necessarily directed to the Helena resident. However, this blog post is all for you, Helena resident.
When visitors come to Helena they have a real impact on the community. According to the ITRR (Institute for Tourism And Recreation Research) people attending in meetings spend an average of $180/day in our community. A portion of this goes to the hotel who in turns pays their staff from maintenance to housekeeping. People coming for a meeting will also put money into local coffee shops and restaurant. They also will buy souvenirs to bring home to the family.
We are asking YOU, the Helena Resident, to provide us with groups, associations, coalitions, etc. that have meetings that could take place to Helena. Please fill out the meeting information page on our web site where you’ll be able to provide us with the meeting contact information. We’ll take all the work from there – we simply would love to have any leads you could provide us with so that we can all see the benefit of bringing people to our beautiful community. We will have a drawing when we reach $250,000 and pick one of you who referred a meeting to us to win a catered dinner for eight.
