Everything Apple Festival

By Heidi O’Brien

When I was little, I remember our orange and light brown Fisher Price record player blasting out a tune that went like this “Apples, apples, apples are fun to eat. Apples, apples, apples are a great big treat!”

Still today when I buy apples for my kids, I will hum this little tune.  And, guess what?! I even found this song online so you too can enjoy this catchy tune.  Don’t be mad at me when you say “apples, apples, apples nice to munch!”

Why am I on this apple kick?  Because Tizer Nature Connection is hosting the first ever Everything Apple Festival on Sunday, October 4th from 1 to 5 pm at Tizer Botanic Gardens & Arboretum.

Admission is $7.  Master Gardeners wearing their t-shirts and garden club members showing their state card & bringing an item for the bake sale will get in free.
