I recently gave a presentation on Helena, Montana and focused on our location between Yellowstone National Park and Glacier National Park. Every other slide, I reminded the group that Helena is half-way between these two parks, both major Montana attractions. By the end of the night, people were asking, “now what was between Yellowstone and Glacier?” It was fun to joke around with them about this, but the answer truly is Helena.
Yes, you can take the interstate between the Parks, but a visitor to Montana can be on the interstate anywhere in world and the route via Helena is actually shorter according to google maps too. A route via Helena, Montana’s Capital City, allows you to discover a whole lot more.
Here’s just a sample of what they can see and do:

- Cameron, Montana
- Ennis, Montana
- Virginia City & Nevada City
- Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park
- St. John the Evangelist Mission
- Boulder Hot Springs
- Gates of the Mountains
