Helena Tourism Stakeholders Meeting – Thursday, March 26, 4-6 PM

Way to go Helena – I’ve been flooded with RSVPs for the Tourism Stakeholders Meeting on Thursday, March 26, 4-6 PM.  We will be at the MYRNA LOY CENTER in the screening room due to our large size.  Please let me know if you and/or staff will be attending.

Attractions: Please plan on sharing what’s happening at your place!

This will be a great opportunity to meet your tourism partners.  We are going to offer tourism attractions a chance to share information about their businesses with each other in a round-robin type format.  Depending on how many people I end up having, this amount of time may change, but as of right now expect to have 4-5 minutes available to share with the group what you have to offer tourists at your business.  We will have an AV option available – you’ll have to email me any graphics you’d like to share by Wednesday at noon.  This is an ideal event for those front line people who talk to tourists every day. Not that I want to intimidate anyone, but I’ll be timing you.  We don’t have a lot of time so make your message clear, direct and applicable.

Bring Brochures!

At the last Helena Hospitality meeting we spoke about encouraging businesses to bring brochures to this meeting.  Last year the Helena Hospitality Group estimates that it gave out between 2,500-3,000 visitor information packs.  This is your chance to get that information included in that pack.  It will also be a good idea to bring brochures to exchange with each other.  We will have a brochure exchange table set up.

 

Hotels please plan to have staff such as GMs, AGMs, Front Desk Managers attend.

 

Tourism Attractions – the meeting will be formatted so you can each give a pitch on what your business can offer guests.

 

Result – hotels will know what’s going on, tourism attractions will know what’s going on and we’ll all be informed to help make the guest experience better and keep the tourist in town longer!

 

We will also ask for input on the TBID Marketing Plan FY2016.
